I finally went to the hospital about my blood pressure, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, every person I encountered was compassionate, caring, thorough, and genuinely helpful. The front desk receptionist, nurses, and doctor were all phenomenal. I felt listened to, cared for, and taken seriously every step of the way. During my visit, they discovered that I had previously experienced a stroke that I had no idea had happened. Needless to say, that was an overwhelming and frightening thing to hear. The staff not only helped me process the magnitude of that news, but they also made sure I understood what was happening and helped coordinate my transfer to a nearby hospital where the specialist I needed was available. They even went above and beyond to help me with the financial burden of the visit, which was an incredibly kind gesture and something I will never forget. I am so incredibly grateful for the care, compassion, and professionalism I received from this entire team. What could have been an incredibly scary experience was made so much easier because of the people who cared for me. I went to Starkey Ranch ER  at about 8:30 PM on a Tuesday night with right flank pain, UTI symptoms. They were  fast, efficient, thorough, and incredibly kind. They have a state of the art facility equipped with CAT scans, X-rays, EKG. etc… I understand they have a small O.R. On site opening  soon .  I would compare this to any top notch NYC  Hospital on steroids. The wait time was less than 5 minutes,  all test performed within 30 min of arrival . To say they are thorough is an understatement. They had me on an IV medicated and diagnosed within 1 1/2 hours. Very very thorough,  diagnosis was a kidney stone/UTI The follow up from the staff has been amazing. Parking lot has ample spaces. It was easy to get to. It’s within 30 minutes of most of the Tampa Bay area. Very close to Eastlake/Trinity/NPR /Palm/Harbor/Tarpon/Odessa. There isn’t a more kind or considerate group of doctors and nurses in all of Tampa bay.  The facility was clean and organized the staff knowledgeable and compassionate. After an unfortunate accident with a kitchen knife and the tip of my index finger a few days ago, I went to an Urgent Care. My experience there was not the best, so my boyfriend and I decided to head to Starkey Ranch ER today to get a second opinion. Dr. James Pruitt was phenomenal. He listened to my concerns and was very understanding and helpful. He set me up on a recovery plan that I feel good about. There was also virtually no wait.
